I recently shared some cupcakes that I made and by surprise a lot of people started messaging me for the recipe. So I decided to share it with you all. Now it’s nothing special. This recipe is already out there, but here we go 🙂
You will need these ingredients:
200g self raising flour
1tsp baking powder
I also like to add vanilla extract or in this case I added raspberries that were finely chopped.
How to make them, it’s very easy. I put all the ingredients in a mixer and mix until everything is nicely mixed together.
I put my oven at 180•c for 15 mins. I then use an ice cream scoop and scoop the mixture into the cupcake tins aligned with cupcake wrappers. In they go in the oven for 15 mins. I then use a kebab stick and skew into the cupcake. If the stick comes out clean then they are ready. If not, put them back into the oven for atleast another 5 mins.
Leave them to cool down on a cooling rack and make the buttercream.
For butter cream you need:
500g icing sugar
Put the butter in your mixer along with half of the icing sugar. Mix until the butter start changing colour. Then add the rest of the icing sugar and continue mixing. Add the milk and vanilla (or any flavour you like) and mix again for atleast 5 mins. And it’s ready 🙂
Now just pipe the buttercream onto the cooled cupcakes and top with fruit. I used a wilton 1M to pipe the roses. Enjoy!!!
